The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment is one of two large general-purpose particle physics detectors built on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN in Switzerland and France. Integrated into the Technical Coordination team, I take a leading role in maintaining or repairing the common systems and infrastructure of the CMS detector and in engineering their consolidation and upgrade to exploit the improved LHC performance. My main tasks: Supervision of activity - Leading/Supervising teams carrying out activity in the CMS underground cavern (during LHC shutdown periods) to maintain and improve the detector. Supervision of central CMS technical teams including heavy logistic team performing opening of the detector. Planning - define the planning of CMS activities, opening sequence and assume particular responsibility for day-to-day planning and its execution. Technical interface - Interfacing to CERN technical groups responsible for the different parts of the common detector infrastructure (magnet & cryogenics, opening/closing system, power supply, cooling, gas, etc), as well as those providing services such as rigging, survey etc. Operation -Take part in the technical on call shifts during operation with emergency site interventions in case of incident/accident. Follow up of the technical events. Mechanical design - Mechanical design of custom heavy toolings. Take part of the mechanical engineering for the future detectors. Design of the back flange, interface piece of the new calorimeter (220 tons). Study installation method and scenario of the new calorimeters from surface to underground cavern.

The Koniambo mine is a large mine in the north of New Caledonia in the North Province. The ore is then transformed in nickel metal in a dedicated plant. I worked as maintenance engineer in this plant My main tasks: Defining of the strategy of maintenance. Creating the maintenance procedure obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings managing stocks of supplies and equipment. Understanding and study specific failure on the field to adapt maintenance strategy accordingly Use of the management system SAP
