As an Engineering Student, I naturally have a curious mind and am always looking for new challenges to learn from. I grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently; my ability to problem solve and think on my feet provides me with the confidence and drive to take on any challenge. I am a strong communicator, which is supported by my time spent teaching, mentoring, and tutoring within virtual and in-person environments. My collaboration and leadership skills support my willingness to learn and involve myself, making me a passionate member of any team. All in all, I aspire to learn, develop, and work alongside like-minded individuals who wish to better the world.
My mission is to help my students grow and learn in the fields of mathematics and sciences, through creative and unique models. I am adamant about helping others, and by creating my own business, I aim to support each and every student that needs help. I work individually with each student and learn their personal strategies and learning techniques in order to provide an interactive and helpful environment. I am comfortable teaching virtually through a range of platforms, as well as teaching in an in-person situation: whatever works best for my student.
U of T Engineering Academy aims to bridge the gap of missing curriculum due to COVID and discrepancies between curriculum of different countries and schools. Academic Mentors spend 15 hours per week teaching an 8-week physics, chemistry, or math course to 25 incoming first-year engineering students.
