Over eighteen (18) years experience as Process (Design) Engineer with leading EPCM companies in oil & gas, petrochemical sectors including water and wastewater treatment projects. Activities and responsibilities include the following: • Performed review, verification and adequacy checks of existing relief valves / control valves / piping and pipelines on production / crude oil export / gas compression units. • Attended design review, HAZOP study of wellhead & flowlines modifications. • Led the IRM (Integrity, Reliability & Maintenance) stream of jobs which consists of brownfield modifications. • Performed scope demarcation analysis, cost-time resource estimation, design reviews and schedule and manhour control. • Performed surge analysis studies on flowlines and firewater systems and developed surge analysis reports. • Reviewed and checked calculation outputs of fellow engineers & graduate engineers such as P&ID, Cause & Effect diagrams, line & control valve hydraulic calculations, orifice sizing, HYSYS and Flarenet simulation models. • Checked and performed first-level validation of the Control Valve Sizing calculation spreadsheet which was approved for use within the Company’s global community.
Activities & responsibilities in assigned projects: • Developed and finalized the steady-state process simulation model using UniSim covering the entire field life of operation cases including sensitivity cases on abnormal operating conditions, expected future compressor re-wheeling option. • Generated compressor operating envelope curves, process simulation report and heat and material balances. • Conducted investigative study of fuel gas system design for different modes of gas turbine operation, black start-up and different sets of wellhead composition. • Endorsed recommendations on alarms and trip settings based on the fuel gas system investigative study results. • Attended P&ID reviews with Client and HAZOP study for fuel gas system and closed-out HAZOP action items. • Developed Flarenet model and flare system adequacy report for different blowdown and relief scenarios. • Prepared process equipment datasheets for fuel gas system (knock-out drum, in-line filter and superheater). • Reviewed and checked vessel sizing calculations, line hydraulics, and equipment datasheets. • Prepared the Process narratives such as Operating Philosophy, Process Control & Safeguarding Narrative, Basic Logic Control Scheme Narrative. • Prepared Alarms & Trips Summary, Emissions Summary, Relief & Blowdown Summary, Utility Summary and Signal Interface Table. • Generated sizing calculations and process datasheets for control valves, pumps, vessels and package equipment (offsite and utility scope). • Developed a calculation spreadsheet for insulation thickness estimation of piping and LNG pump using convection, conduction and radiation principles. • Prepared “valve line-up philosophy” for different modes of operation of the LNG terminal. • Verified the consistency of surge analysis calculation data from FEED.
