Community’s next act is economic impact. Field marketing’s is AI-native scale. I run both. | 200+ events/y, millions in pipe | Sr. Dir @ ClickUp

About

I spent nearly two decades in community. Then AI showed me what to do with all of it. I now lead Demand Ecosystem & Field Marketing at ClickUp, where a team of 6 operates at the output of an org 3x its size: 200+ events/year, a full Ai service provider enablement pipeline, customer advocacy programs with hundreds of thousands of members, and an AI-built operational system that is leaps beyond industry standard. We don't iterate on old programs. We compound on a stronger foundation, using ClickUp's own AI (Brain²) to architect automations, super agents, and systems that turn community into revenue infrastructure. My thesis: Community's next act isn't engagement metrics. It's economic impact. We're giving AI builders, consultants, and service providers real enablement, real deal flow, and real income paths. When someone in our ecosystem closes a deal, that's their livelihood. We built the systems that made it possible. The "Super IC" isn't a buzzword. It's our operating model. Small team, full ownership, AI-native systems, zero bureaucratic drag. On the field side, I've built a pipeline machine that puts millions in sourced and influenced revenue on the board every quarter through formats that actually convert: invite-only executive dinners, AI enablement sessions (Brain Food), and world-class customer retreats designed to accelerate deals, not just build awareness. Every format has a repeatable playbook, every seat in the room is intentional, and every event ties back to pipeline. In a decade of work at Yelp I led two divisions and 30+ remote marketing specialists across emerging and tier-1 US markets, owning the full community growth function for Yelp's most competitive metros. Built data-driven programs that directly accelerated user acquisition and market share in cities where organic growth had plateaued. Designed the operating playbook for how Yelp scaled community marketing nationally without scaling headcount proportionally, a model that became the blueprint for the company's expansion strategy.

    • Senior Director, Demand Ecosystem & Field Marketing
      Jun 2026 - Present · 2 mos

Leading ClickUp's AI-native demand ecosystem with a lean team of 6 that operates across what would traditionally be 3+ separate departments: • Field Marketing Engine: 130+ in-person events and 70+ webinars annually across MM/ENT segments. Three world-class Event Managers (AMER + EMEA + APAC) running boots-on-the-ground + Three systems operators who play triple duty as Content Creators, Webinar Talent & manage dozens of AI agents and automated campaign systems = Field Marketing production at scale. • Verified Service Provider (VSP) Program: Built from zero. Certifications, cohort-based enablement, deal flow infrastructure, and a path to real income for AI builders and consultants on ClickUp's platform. No partner badge and a Slack invite. Real economic outcomes for our partners. • Customer Advocacy & UGC engine: Architected a program in Zealot that generates 1,500+ genuine customer social shoutouts per month, no incentive hacks, no templated copy. Real advocacy at a volume most brands pay agencies millions to approximate. • AI-Native Systems Architecture: All systems built natively in ClickUp using Brain². Automations, super agents, attendee tracking, no-show sequences, webinar-to-content pipelines, and a full LMS with no external vendors or product engineering support. • Operating Model: Pioneering the "Super IC" approach. Each team member owns a full function. Sydney architects agent infrastructure across 6 integrated platforms. Elliot runs 2-3 live webinars/week while co-building enablement systems. Arianna powers every demand campaign. The result: startup speed at enterprise scale. While I continued to manage a dozen start-up cities for the community marketing team within the Yelp Brand, I was promoted to a Sr. Level within the community expansion division to also lead R & D programs that solved the "how to grow community faster in our largest markets" question. I was directly responsible for a remote team of 25+ reps and their lead manager, who were tasked with growing our online user market share within specific target metros. This position included developing data driven programs to enhance, map, track the user experience and the execution of marketing initiatives that coached an online community into deeper brand engagement. The teams that directly reported to me were able to grow online communities faster, in some of the largest metros and most active online platforms. Each member of the Yelp Community Expansion Team was a forward facing community leader who required daily guidance and resources. I was proud to support an inclusive and diverse group of driven, self-motivated, charismatic, and organized individuals as they were tasked with wrangling a slew of to-dos, from targeted brand communications and online moderating to user engagement events and executing retention and growth strategies. Direct reports required support with event planning, influencer management, social media campaigns, large scale marketing promotions, local business owner education, various online publications, mass email prerogatives, public relations and press opportunities. Additional program development experience within this role included test pilots and the creation of new policies and procedures for emerging marketing departments and expansion concepts at Yelp.
