- Technologies: C#, Vue.js, Selenium, Azure SQL, Azure Static Web Apps, Azure Functions, REST API - Product: "Insider Trading Score" for all securities on the Toronto Stock Exchange based on insider activity and real-time stock price. - Configurable/Weighted Scoring Model - Executive Summary of securities with the highest scores (for further analysis)
D+H was acquired in June 2017 by Vista Equity Partners and merged with Misys to form Finastra.
- Helping to resolve technical and non technical impediments - Onshore/Offshore Resource Management. - Ensuring product maintains PCI Compliance. - Acting as a Scrum Master to facilitate Product Meetings and tracking product work (ie. Development, QA) - Representing Technology Team when communicating with clients,partners and internal stakeholders. - Supporting Payment Manager and Cheque Manufacturing lines of businesses. - Acting as Innovation Lead for Finastra Mississauga (Organizing annual hackathon, bringing in external speakers for events etc.)
- Collaborating with an agile team and adding features outlined by our product owner. - Refactoring and simplifying an existing API to reduce cost of implementation for external partners. - Technical Writing and improving client facing documentation. - Client Facing communication with external technology teams/individuals from Canadian Financial Institutions. - Working with many different internal D+H teams/silos (Release Management Team, Security Team, Database Team, Network Team, Intel Team, Operations Team, DEVOPS etc.). Our product is self-hosted.
- Working as part of the Client Delivery Team to integrate the commercial lending product CreditPath with our client's software/systems. - C#, ASP.NET, SQL SERVER 2008/2012, T-SQL, HTML, J-QUERY - Code Reviews - Advanced optimization of T-SQL stored procedures to ensure fast website response times. - Writing client specific implementation documentation to ensure smooth deployments/product upgrades. - Travel to Richmond, VA to participate in bi-monthly sprint planning / release planning agile sessions with client.
- Grew up on a dairy farm between Guelph, Fergus and Elora Ontario - Operated Heavy Machinery since age of 9. (Case IIH 885 Front end Loader, Throw Bailer, Manure Spreaders, Forage Wagons, Forage Blower, Haybine, Disc, + much more) - Feeding Cows, Cleaning Stalls, Farm Equipment Maintenance/Cleaning, Highlights: - The Blizzard of 1993. (walked 1km each way to dry barn with no visibility and crazy winds to ensure cows fed and protected) - Raking Hay 7am-11:45am then showing up to school late bragging to my 9 year old friends about making enough money for 12 chocolate bars. about $9. - Each Summer, Watching the barn go from empty to completely full within 3 days of stacking square hay bales in 30 degree Celsius weather.
