After 9 years Trevor left Shire in 2017 to start market access consulting. Initially working for two organisations: an American Biotech preparing a European launch for a highly innovative therapy for a devastating rare condition; & a European Clinical Stage Biotech preparing to commercialize a rich pipeline of assets with potential to be first-in-class or best-in-class to treat diseases with significant unmet medical need. In April 2018 Trevor started work full time with argenx as VP Market Access.
Responsible within GPS for Global Market Access leading the integration of legacy Shire & Baxalta market access organisations. Trevor designed & led implementation of the New Shire Market Access Global – Regional – Local operating process. Working within the New Shire organisation to drive market access requirements across GPS, Regions (US & International Commercial) & Development in partnership with Global Business Units & HEOR. Responsible for building Shire international market access capabilities for ‘One Shire’ in support of International Commercial (IC) & Global Business Units (GBUs): Designed and implemented processes for market access that were robust, sustainable & scalable to seamlessly incorporate new acquisitions (ViroPharma 2014 & NPS 2015) & enable successful geographical expansion of the Shire portfolio in partnership with IC. Responsible for building an International Pricing & Reimbursement Team for Shire Specialty Pharma where none existed previously. Designed the organisational structure and P&R process to strengthen Shire’s ability to launch additional products in wider geographies supported by appropriate clinical & economic evidence. Recruited a centrally based team of 7 market access professionals working in partnership with Global HEOR & Development & with Market Access Directors in all leading operating companies to successfully launched Shire specialty portfolio across multiple geographies & therapeutic areas.
