Transition of Managed Services (Fixed & Mobile) from Alcatel Lucent to Huawei including additional scope (Services & Swap) and a ‘Greenfield’ NOC. Essentially a complex Start-up involving recruitment of over a 100 people and the transfer of over 200 more with new premises, processes and OSS tools.
Globally responsible for supporting all Managed Service deliveries including the creation and development of the NSN ‘Managed Services Operations Model’ “The global blueprint for solutions and service delivery” (eTom & ITIL compliant). This role also included all aspects of Capability enablement including: Development of Operations Directors/ Managers; Due Diligence; Transition; Transformation; Service Delivery; Consulting to CxO level and more.
Globally responsible for Network Operations Managed Service delivery. Key aspects of this role included the development of a model covering: Global Network Operations Centre (GNOC); Process Development; Mentoring & Coaching of Management; Pre-Sales & Solutions Support; Operator CxO Consultations.
With the same responsibilities as the global role above, it also included: MS Network Operations Solution Creation Due Diligence and Sign off for regional contracts.
In this Greenfield 2G start-up I reported to the CEO undertaking a variety of roles to support the business development including: Writing of RfQ and negotiation and set-up of the Field Maintenance subcontract; Implementation of Customer Care Trouble Ticketing (Remedy) system; End-end process development. I was also the appointed Project Group Manager for liaison with Vendor (Siemens).
A Pan European venture capitalist backed Broadband Wireless Local Loop start-up across several European countries. Initially employed in a consultancy role to write the OSS RfQ and evaluate/negotiate bids I later joined the organisation to lead and support all manner of start-up activities in Germany and Spain.
Greenfield ‘Build Operate Transfer’ of a 2G network for Operator Ben. As well as Operational management, in this role I was also responsible for ‘Care’ activities and business development to the extent of writing contractual appendices.
