At present I'm an English teacher in Spain, which is fantastic as I get the pleasure of speaking to people every day and learning from them about their lives and their culture, while at the same time helping them achieve their goals. I host a podcast for English language learners, Real Exam English, which has about 2,000 listeners per day from over 170 countries. I have over 20 years experience working in a variety of client-facing roles, from car reservations in Ireland to airport ground crew in Boston, but my background is principally in corporate finance. I have 12 years experience working in banks and fund administration which has helped me develop the skills necessary to work successfully with and in some of the biggest companies in the world. What I love is working on challenging projects, whether setting up a billion dollar fund or helping someone pass a language test.
I teach high-level English to individuals, groups and businesses. Most classes are online, with clients all around the world. I specialise in exam preparation, mainly Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL and Escuela Oficial de Idiomas in Spain.
