Hello! I am Trevor, or you can call me Trev. I hold a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, specializing in Medical Molecular Biology from The University of British Columbia I am a total advocate for synthetic biology and open science. I have conducted research in NMR-based metabolomics and synthetic biology.
Two-month Intenship Contract with the group Métabolique-Génomique, Laboratory of Systems and Synthetic Biology (LiSSB) at CEA Évry - Genoscope. Abstracting transcriptional logic gates and constructing a toolkit for their use in modular cloning methods such as MoClo and LOOP, utilizing an expanded promoter region.
Conducted thorough quality control analysis for multiple company operations (oat processing line, product baking and packaging, warehouse control). Notable projects: - Formalizing the automation of generating Certificates of Analysis for distribution to purchasers; - Writing SOPs regarding QC procedures such as retention sample recording and storing; - Shaping warehouse QC responsibilities as we scaled up production.
I am in the process of producing proprietary software for Grid Networks to streamline the process of wireless access point optimization. Using my self-taught skills in C# and Python, I am producing a suite of tools called FoxAnalyzer that will enable weeks of work to be condensed into days, reducing operating costs and vastly increasing profit margins. I have learned about project management and software design while producing these tools. I have also learned about systems optimization, wireless network protocols, and data acquisition in this field of work.
