I served as a US Navy Hospital Corpsman from 2010 to 2015, handling a variety of jobs. I conducted records management, budget management, and patient care in Guam until 2012. From there, I went to the WRNMMC to work in the Emergency Department. In the ER, I worked on patient care, records upkeep, budget management, supply ordering and stocking, and briefing to the department and leadership.
Patient care (emergency room): 1 of 25 members caring for 20,000 ER patients annually. Logistics: balanced and maintained a budget of $75,000. Responsible for equipment valued at $1.5million. Ordered and stocked vital patient supplies. Administration/Leadership: oversaw the training of 20 new members to the ER. Created and updated Division Personnel records. Conduct briefs to ER personnel and hospital leadership. Managed four shift leaders. Developed SOP. Created new forms to streamline supply, IT, and facility orders. Screened and applied 14,000 flu vaccinations in 2014
