At USAMRIID, I have continued my interest in discovering and developing novel treatments for hemorrhagic fever viruses. It has been my privilege to interact in a highly collaborative setting with many scientists -- representing biotechology startups, big pharma, government agencies, and academic institutions -- to assess and advance antiviral therapeutics from small molecules to macromolecules. I have served as the chief scientific liaison for multiple government-funded advanced development programs, responsible for the management of day-to-day activities to ensure timely completion of short- and long-term program goals, on time and within budget. These projects have successfully resulted in six IND filings for molecular entities for treatment of Ebola virus and Marburg virus disease.
