Responsible for the ongoing design and execution of Capital Management Analytics Solutions. Liaison connecting business stakeholders with technical teams and overseeing timely delivery of reporting solutions and helping to foster understanding and utilization by end users.
-Designed and implemented custom training curriculum to partner with existing and new development initiatives. -Training and development ranges from Cognos Reporting to TM1 analysis. -Development has also included deliverables based in the Microsoft BI stack :Datazen, PowerBI, SSRS. -Exhaustive end-user development to embrace the full range of IBM BI-oriented platforms including but not limited to: Report Studio, Workspace Advanced, TM1, Workspace, and the full scope of the Cognos Connection. -Construction and analysis of Framework Models aimed at connecting business and technical users alike to their critical data sources. -Utilization of TM1 cube functionality to aid in forecasting and budgeting, as well as providing on-the-fly resource projections, all while protecting the fidelity of this data by leveraging the inbuilt Sandbox functionality. -End-to-end user training spanning the conceptualization of a Data-driven solution, to the theory behind Data Warehousing, all the way to the sleek and automatic delivery of elegant and meaningful solutions. -Testing of solutions and their constituent parts via Cognos, SQL Management Studio, Excel, as well as proprietary platform testing across test environments running PowerBI and Datazen. -Management of development resources to ensure concise communication and smooth delivery of solutions to the end-users. -Advanced troubleshooting of outdated reports, including the conversion of relational reports to TM1-sourced solutions. Conversion of CQM solutions to DQM optimized content. -Assumption of SME role with IBM Cognos. Development of documentation and interactive presentations focused on utilization of the tool, the PA solutions, as well as the underlying concepts that drive BI reporting. Course materials include: Query optimization, Auto aggregation analysis, complex filter agreement. -Assumed ownership of Database Administrator role for new Terminal task
Designed and executed migration plan for Data Warehouse and downstream reporting platform from physical on-site infrastructure on Cognos 9.x to cloud-based warehouse solution with upgrade to Cognos 10.2.2. Full overhaul of existing server environment (including transition of virtualization protocol from VMWare to HyperV) and teardown of reporting sources. Previous utilization of Transformer Cubes was transitioned to IBM Dynamic Cube technology, requiring comprehensive analysis and repair of pre-existing business logic and dimensional models. Reports, associated ETL(Alteryx), and data structures successfully migrated to entirely cloud-based environment. Total report load during process: 40+. Currently providing ongoing transition support in the form of technical issue resolution and cultivation of user base to increase client-side ownership and utilization of deliverable. -Architecture implemented and delivered in IBM Cognos Dynamic Cubes -. overhaul of CQM modeling and reporting to optimized DQM solutions including Active Reporting and pre-cache performance upgrades -Conversion of rules and systems from existing TM1 structure, Transformer Cubes, SQL Server Database -Visualizations created in Cognos, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau -Extensive administration and maintenance within Cognos
