About

From 1986-1994, I worked for the Vanguard Group of Investment Companies in the Institutional Division. I held a variety of positions, my last being a project manager. I left Vanguard in 1994 to stay at home to raise my three daughters. Since that time, I have been an active volunteer in my community, my daughter's schools and at Penn State University. In 1997, I started the Chester County/Main Line Chapter of Mothers and More. This non-profit organization is a national network of 3,000 moms united across 60 local chapters. I have spent many years volunteering for my daughter's schools-serving as Chair for various events and President of parent guilds, Capital Campaign committees and fundraising endeavors. In addition, I was an active member of Paoli Hospital Auxiliary where I have been a Board member (Treasurer) and have chaired several major fundraising events. From 2007 to 2019, I worked part time in the business office for a local catering company. My responsibilities included AP/AR, account reconciliations, office management, recordkeeping and other duties as required. In 2011, I was invited to be a member of the newly established Penn State Parents Council and was selected as the inaugural Chair. Through that experience as well as later being selected as the inaugural Chair of the Schreyer Honors College Parent Council, I have seen firsthand the important role parents play in setting their students up for success in college and in life. Shortly thereafter, I was invited to become a member of the Schreyer Honors College External Advisory Board and currently continue in this position. In 2021, I was asked to be a member of the newly created SHC EAB Steering Committee and was asked to serve as the inagural Chair of the EAB Community Committee. In March 2016, I ran for and was elected to the Penn State Alumni Association Alumni Council, which is the advisory group and governing body of the Penn State Alumni Association. In July 2017, I was asked to serve as Chair of the newly formed Lifelong Relationships/Engagement Committee as well as on the Executive Board. In March 2019, I was re-elected for a second term for Alumni Council and was Chair of the Awards Committee and a member of Executive Board (2019-2021). In 2021, I was invited to be a member of the NextGen Advisory Group who advised the PSU Board of Trustees on the Presidential Search. I continue to serve on Boards at Penn State and in my local community; Palmer Museum of Art Friends Leadership Council, PSU Brandywine Advisory Board, Union League Ladies Committee.
