Managed the Solution Engineering and Systems Operations teams for the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Supervised a staff of 8 employees responsible for managing and maintaining user provisioning, server administration and maintenance of over 1,000 servers, providing support for numerous commercial applications, performing Microsoft SQL Server management/administration and performing Office 365 management/administration. Accomplishments • Worked with team to establish Nagios server monitoring for entire virtual and physical server infrastructure. • Purchased and oversaw implementation of new hyperconverged infrastructure in support of the Citrix upgrade project. • Managed and oversaw project to upgrade Citrix 6.5 environment to new Citrix 7.15 environment. • Managed project for a major cleanup of Active Directory in preparation for domain controller and forest level upgrade. • Worked to consolidate and effectively manage monthly server operating system updates to all managed servers while preparing to automate orchestration of these updates.

Accomplishments • Worked with each floor manager to successfully plan and define the IT requirements for each new floor of the heart hospital. • Successfully managed a $2.1 million budget for IT equipment and services in support of the heart hospital expansion. • Planned, purchased and managed implementation of over $850,000 of network infrastructure and cabling needed in support of the heart hospital expansion. • Planned, purchased and managed implementation of over $450,000 of PCs, peripherals, and televisions in support of heart hospital expansion.
