A highly reliable and versatile Air Diver and inland diving supervisor with 20 years of international experience in underwater construction, inspection, survey, and search & recovery operations. Over a distinguished 24-year career in the British Army’s Royal Engineers, I progressed from a heating and plumbing engineer to Army Diver, Diving Supervisor, and ultimately served as a Senior Military Diving Instructor and Lead Diving Supervisor at the Defence Diving School. Since transitioning from the military to the commercial sector, I have successfully adapted and broadened my expertise, working with leading diving contractors on a variety of complex projects inland and offshore. Mix and Apply Belzona 5321 base paint primer coat and finishing paint coat to subsea sections of marine piles and sea wall. Client: Balfour Beatty Location: Comrie, Scotland Removal of Larsen pile wall using Broco thermal cutting. Client: VolkerStevin / Defence Infrastructure Organisation Location: HM Naval Base Clyde / Faslane, Scotland Jetty/Birth extension - Removal of sinker weights using crane, removal of steel fittings, core drilling for installation of steel guides for new floating jetty. Client: Peel Ports Location: Greenock, Scotland Inspection of Larsen pile sea wall, ultrasonic thickness survey and photography.

Client: Argyll and Bute council Location: Oban, Scotland Breakwater pontoon mooring chain inspection. Removal of pontoon mooring chains in order to relocate pontoons. Client: Western ferries Location: Gourock, Scotland Inspection of link-span on ferry dock. Client: RJ McLeod Location: Mallaig harbour ferry terminal, Scotland Detailed seabed survey at the ferry overnight berth and removal of obstructions, levelling of seabed and ultrasonic thickness survey of seawall. Client: Caledonian Macbrayne Location: Iona, Scotland Ferry slipway repair/extension. Subsea groundwork’s and preparation, formwork/concrete shutter installation, install concrete reinforcement, pour concrete, removal of formwork/shutters.

Marine Pile life extension - Long project. - Sub-surface cleaning of marine piles to SA2 spec using HP water jet & Cavit cleaner. - General visual inspection (GVI), Ultrasonic Thickness (UT) survey, Cathodic Potential (CP) surveys and marine growth assessment. - Removal of unserviceable ICCP. - Installation of Denso sea shield (Pile wrapping). Client: Peel Ports. Location: Greenock, Scotland. Levelling cruise berth jetty. Removal of existing Sub-surface 10 Tonne lifting bags and installation/placement of new 10 Tonne lifting bags levelling the cruise ship berth. Client: Peel ports. Location: Hunterston, Scotland. Deepwater berth upgrade. Steel pier ladder removal using BROCO thermal cutting equipment and gas axe equipment, fabrication and fitting of brackets using sub-surface Mag-Drills and the installation of Port-Safety Lifeladders. -Various locations. Short notice emergency call out tasks in support of various clients including local ferry and port operators carrying out tasks such as investigation and repairs, prop clearance and recovery.

Joint venture with Beacon Offshore and Shelf Subsea / DeepOcean. Vessel: DSV Southern Nova DP2 Client: Valeura Energy. Wassana Oilfield , Gulf of Thailand. Air diving in support of UWILD “platform life extension” saturation diving project on the MOPU Ingenium platform. Air diving from main Vessel LARS using extended umbilical/Golden Gate. Secondary air diving tasks from Talon SRP Dive boat. Tasks: • Pre-Inspection cleaning using Grit blasting and HP water jet / retro jet to SA2 & SA2.5 spec. • General Visual Inspection (GVI) and Close Visual inspection (CVI) including photography of subsea structures, legs, and appurtenances. • Marine Growth Survey. • Cathodic Potential (CP) readings across designated nodes & legs. • Anode assessment and replacement. • Ultrasonic Thickness (UT) gauging shell plating, and leg plating as per client inspection plan. • MPI inspection of welds and pinholes as per client inspection plan. • Wassana SPM CALM Bouy Remedial Work - Clean and inspection of Mooring chains, Chain lockers and Seam welds.
Vessel: OSV Beacon Altair DP2 Client: Valeura Energy Wassana Oilfield , Gulf of Thailand Air diving from LARS using extended umbilical/golden gate, cleaning the Wassana SPM CALM buoy components and mooring chains using HP water jet/retro jet followed by survey/inspection of the CALM Buoy chain lockers, mooring chains, seam welds and anodes and damage assessment to CALM buoy fender.
Lead Instructor / Lead Diving Supervisor responsible for training soldiers on Army diving supervisor courses and Army Diver courses in the use of Surface Supplied and Self Contained diving equipment, Broco and Hydraulic tools. Line manager / Team leader / project manager of the training team.
