• The purpose of the role is to facilitate compliance with the corporate Safety Statement and associated processes, policies and legislation within the St Michaels House • To provide specialist advice, guidance and instruction regarding health and safety matters to the local Management Teams, Directors of Services, frontline managers and staff, to assist local management and duty holders in ensuring that the high standards of health and safety as dictated by St Michaels House and legislation are met and promote continuous improvement based on systematic organisational learning. • To advise and support management and duty holders in setting up, maintaining and improving systems that underpin an effective integrated health and safety governance system within St Michaels House – • To liaise with external stakeholders such as the State Claims Agency and the Health and Safety Authority. – • The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that national policy issued by the Workplace Health and Wellbeing Unit is implemented locally. This will include statutory and regulatory requirements of the Workplace Health and Wellbeing Unit for the Health and Safety of healthcare workers • The post holder will support the relevant Manager in all communication processes and the collation, analysis and distribution (as applicable) of all policies.
o Completion of manual handling training and ergonomic risk assessments o Developing and administering procedures to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislative requirements and corporate Environmental and Health & Safety policy; o Assist in the maintenance and development of ISO45001 & ISO14001 as part of the Integrated Management system o Conducting and reviewing risk assessments and ensure measures to control risks are implemented and monitored both for Acacia activities and as part of EH&S client projects; o Management and development of site Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan o Providing health and safety advice and support on site / client projects o Preparing health and safety documentation required for site projects (PSDP/PSCS duties) o Ensuring contractor safety management arrangements are established and implemented o Maintaining close liaison with facilities, technical and administrative staff to ensure implementation of regulations pertaining to Health and Safety o Completion of DSE workstation assessments (including WFH Assessments)
Senior Supervisory role within the Credit Union (CU); the primary purpose of my role is to ensure that the Board of Directors and Senior Management team are compliant with legislation and act in the best interest of the Credit Union. This includes reviewing legislation, Policies, Finance, ensuring the Strategic plan. Our team have a statuary duty to report any breaches of Fiduciary duties to Shareholders, Central Bank and if necessary call a EGM. Furthermore as Secretary I co-ordinate and liaise with all stakeholders, take minutes, produce reports, record management, Chair first Board Meeting after AGM, organise meetings, travel and training.
