Responsible for the supervision, management and control of several fast-paced projects, which ran concurrently with wide ranging requirements for each phase of the project. Overall responsibility for all temporary works, from design to installation, inspection and approval of the Etihad 2B line 220Km new construction between Al Ruwais and Dubai, the management of which required levels of adaptability and focus to prioritize critical and non-critical operations while effectively managing schedule constraints. The final approval of all temporary works systems including temporary traffic management, bridge formwork, deep excavation shoring, designed system access and load bearing scaffolds. Coordination and interfacing with various stakeholders (RTA, Expo 2020, ADDC). The inspection, reporting and issuing of “safe to proceed” certification of temporary works against approved design. Management and development of the temporary works team to continuously improve operations. Maintaining a high level of safety for all existing and new temporary works.
Working on the Etihad rail 2B project as the Temporary Works Coordinator, managing all Temporary Works relating to the 2B project including, raising and developing design briefs, creation of temporary works document i.e permit to load/strike, temporary works register, inspection and sign off of all categories of temporary works and the management and training of all temporary works staff within the team
Responsibility to effectively manage the main contractor in a live working factory and shipyard environment, which required fast paced focus and coordination to understand critical works of both the project and the stakeholders live working schedule. Gave final approval of all MEP related works. Documented and reported during the construction progress. Ensured all works met standard regulations and were installed to design intent. Coordinated and interfaced with various stakeholders (BAE management, Cumbria Council). Relayed all relevant information to stakeholders and client to ensure the end result met the client’s needs and expectations.
