Since joining the IT profession in my latter career with BT and subsequently learning Project Management with Unisys I worked for the Rentokil Initial Group for 22 years in various parts of the Group, becoming the first IT Director to have a Board position in 2003. From 2009 until the end of 2012 I held the position of IT Director at City Link, building a high performing team and leading a number of major IT initiatives. In 2013 I set up my own consultancy business and have just completed an assignment working for the DX group on a major Programme of business change enabled by a new technology capability. In June 2015 I Project Managed a CRM implementation for the Association of Corporate Treasurers and this completed successfully in 2016. With PLSA from 2016 until Dec 2018 when I completed my engagement the 2 years were spent helping reshape the IT function and stabilising their CRM solution. I am now IT and Project Director at Corps Security responsible for all aspects of IT and leading a project delivery methodology. My experience of IT is now extensive across various businesses and IT disciplines and ranges from the Strategic to the Tactical and even Operational dimensions of the profession. My experience covers Service, Logistics, the Membership sector and now the Security sector. This wide experience can be applied to a range of sectors and I am enjoying the diversity of my latest assignment.
Responsible for all aspects of the IT Agenda.
Specific responsibility for the improvement in the key CRM system and a wider strategic involvement in all other IT matters.
This role is assist in the implementation of a new CRM system to the Association of Corporate Treasurers. The project will run from supplier selection through to solution implementation. This project was successfully implemented on time and on budget.
The role was to shape an extensive change agenda led by new technology for the DX Group in the Operational area of that business. The programme received significant funding to support a business transformation initiative and its scope extended from back office transaction processing, through routing and sortation to the front line delivery teams.
