About

Adding value to an organization with the combination of management, knowledge and innovation in a technical environment is my main driving force. I’m always focussed on the added value of people within an organization. When their experience is transferred into knowledge it will be valuable for an organization. People have many good ideas. It is for me to manage these ideas into the right direction so both the organisation and the person itself will benefit.

  • Executive director Ageing Centre at TU Delft
    Dec 2014 - May 2017 · 2 yrs 6 mos

The Ageing Centre is a research theme initiated by DCMAT to initiate and support fundamental research on the ageing behaviour of materials and structures. The mission of the Ageing Centre of the TU Delft is to investigate and model ageing phenomena at fundamental materials level and to make ageing predictable at the materials level and at the level of devices, structures and systems. Since ageing starts at the smallest scale, solutions for ageing should, therefore, start at that fundamental level. Since ageing of materials finally result in consequences at the macrolevel, ageing studies are inherently multi-scale and require multi-scale modelling. The Ageing Centre will concentrate primarily on research, but also has the ambition to disseminate new knowledge and expertise through courses, workshops and conferences.
