My role is to assist sailors during the embarkation and disembarkation process. I check documentation such as visas and passports and I ensure all personal details are corresponding correctly. In addition, I direct the sailors during the disembarkation to streamline the process with customs, and the send-off to their final destination is successful. In this role, I am required to work under pressure and have attention to detail. I have participated in a variety of training workshops run by different companies such as Disney, P&O and Virgin. This training provides a better understanding of the industry and the specific customer service and communication skills required.
My role is to create a positive experience for the customers of events such as concerts, parties, sports games and dinners. This involves making and serving coffee and drinks, interacting with customers, handling money and bar tabs, cashing up and setting up for functions. In this role, I also help to supervise and train new staff. Working in this role, I am required to work under pressure, problem-solve, and work with a team, as well as demonstrate excellent social skills.
