I am a devoted and motivated sports professional with experience spanning elite competition, Para sports administration, and sports governance. I firmly believe that good governance, accountability, and inclusive policy-making are essential to the sustainable development of sport and to maximising its social impact. From 2017 to 2022, I represented Hong Kong, China as a professional track cyclist, competing in major international events including the Asian Games, Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games, and the China National Games. These years as an elite athlete instilled discipline, resilience, and a deep understanding of how institutional support, fair systems, and effective resource allocation directly affect athlete performance and well-being. Following my athletic career, I transitioned into sports administration and governance. Through the Athlete Career Transition Programme of the SF&OC, I joined The Football Association of Hong Kong, China Limited, where I handled secretarial and company secretarial duties, including meeting administration, compliance coordination, and member engagement. This role strengthened my understanding of governance structures and fiduciary responsibility within publicly accountable sports organisations. I am currently serving as Senior Sports Programme Manager at the China Hong Kong Paralympic Committee (HKPC), leading the Sports Programme Division. I oversee the planning and coordination of Hong Kong, China’s participation in major Para multi-sport events, including the Paralympic Games, Asian Para Games, Asian Youth Para Games, and World Abilitysport Games. My work covers delegation management, athlete selection processes, Games-related meetings and ceremonies, and close collaboration with NSAs, international federations, and the Hong Kong Sports Institute. Beyond event delivery, I place strong emphasis on governance and institutional development. I established a Membership Review Subcommittee to introduce a structured and compliance-based membership mechanism, organised Hong Kong’s first-ever Classification Conference, and am currently leading the preparation of the 2026–2029 Hong Kong Classification Framework, including the Hong Kong Classification Code. I hold an MSc in Corporate Governance and Compliance from HKBU and am a member of the NextGen Group of the HKCGI, supporting governance awareness among young professionals. I am committed to contributing my experience and professional judgement to the long-term development of Para sports and inclusive sports policies in Hong Kong, China.
- Lead the Sports Programme Division of the Committee, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence in planning and coordinating the Hong Kong Delegation's participation in both individual and multi-sport events. - Oversee the organization and execution of all Games-related meetings and ceremonies, including Delegation meetings, Pre-Delegation meetings, Chef de Mission meetings, Flag Presentation Ceremonies, and Welcome Home Ceremonies, while serving as Secretary for key meetings such as the Athlete Selection Committee Meeting. - Supervise Sports Programme Team, fostering professional growth and collaboration to achieve organizational objectives. - Develop and manage division's budgets and operational workflows to ensure the smooth execution of the Hong Kong, China Delegation's participation in major multi-sport events. - Manage New Membership affairs for international federations and local stakeholders. - Formulate and implement strategies for the education and development of Para coaching, while overseeing all sports-related matters, including doping control and national/international classification processes. • Assumed responsibilities for administrative tasks, including handling flight tickets, traffic arrangements, and managing training programs with the team. • Participated in challenging competitions as a member of the Professional Team Hong Kong Cyclist, requiring independence and confidence when navigating unknown areas. • Achieved impressive results in national and international competitions, including General Classification 2nd in the 2017 Asian Indoor Game Team Pursuit, 10th in the 2018 Asian Game Sprint, 4th in the 2020 Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup VI Sprint, and 2nd in the 2021 China National Championship. • Set multiple Hong Kong records, including 200m with a time of 9.773s at the 11 Sep 2021 National China Game and 1 kilometer with a time of 1min 2sec at the 28 Feb 2020 Track World Championship in German. • Excelled as a Junior Student Athlete for the Hong Kong Cycling team from 2015-2017, representing the Hong Kong, China in national and international competitions. • Awarded the general classification 1st in the 2015 Taiwan Cup Track International Track Classic Keirin and the 2016 (Jan) Asian Junior Track Championship Sprint event in Bronze medal, showcasing a remarkable performance in the sport. • Successfully managed to balance hybrid-mode education, demonstrating time management and resilience skills during the challenging period. • Collaborated with coaches and other athletes to develop strategic training plans and enhance athletic abilities, resulting in improved performance in cycling competitions. • Acquired valuable teamwork, leadership, and communication skills through training with a diverse group of athletes and coaches from different countries and cultures. • Continuously demonstrated a strong work ethic, dedication, and passion for the sport of cycling, both on and off the track.
