I've spent 12+ years in supply chain planning, across industries and countries. That experience taught me one thing above all: most planning fails not because the problem is unsolvable but because the solution was too complex for the people who needed to use it. I've seen expensive transformations stall because the tool required a PhD to operate. And I've seen simple, well-designed processes outperform systems that cost ten times more. The pattern is consistent: clarity wins. Things that get used, work. That belief shapes how I think about planning and what I want to build in this field. Not more sophistication for its own sake, but systems that actually help people make better decisions, every day. I'm curious, hands-on, and a bit impatient with complexity that doesn't earn its place. Always happy to connect with supply chain professionals, operators, and anyone who thinks this field deserves better tools not just bigger ones.
Project: Planning Transformation (Discrete Manufacturing) - Conducted assessment of planning systems and processes for a discrete manufacturer facing serious cash flow challenges and overstock issues. - Identified lack of demand planning as a root cause and recommended establishing a dedicated demand planning process and role. - Led the design and implementation of SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning), complemented by a simple demand algorithm to increase visibility and control. - Secured successful adoption after two previously failed SIOP attempts, enabling sustainable planning discipline. - The new standard, proven locally, was recognized as a best practice and selected for rollout in the US and globally.
Core responsibilities: - Led the design and implementation of Blue Yonder ESP (Enterprise Supply Planning) for a global beverage manufacturer. - Mapped and documented planning processes, translating them into user stories and test cases to ensure alignment between business teams and technical delivery. - Designed system setup and configurations to reflect real planning workflows and support business requirements. - Acted as a bridge between planners, IT, and integrators to ensure successful delivery of planning transformation. Key achievements: - Recognized with a CEO Teamwork Award for cross-functional collaboration and impact.
Core responsibilities: - Managed long-term capacity planning for external manufacturers across multiple product categories. - Provided guidance to planners on production planning and acted as escalation point for operational issues. - Oversaw supplier relationships and regularly assessed performance against service and capacity KPIs. - Ensured supply chain sustainability and readiness in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, coordinating suppliers and internal stakeholders. Key achievements: - Delivered a record-high global fill rate of 99.89% across all categories, setting a new benchmark for service performance.
Core responsibilities: - Monitored and analysed product availability across the EMEAR region, ensuring alignment with business priorities. - Managed allocation of strategic SKUs, balancing supply constraints with market demand. - Prepared and presented KPI reports, driving corrective actions to improve service levels. Key achievements: - Improved regional product availability from 61% to 94%, significantly enhancing customer service and market performance.
