I've been involved in creating an aging model for paper insulation that will be used by a smart grid system in the next 20 years. The main difference in this is model is that, not only it will include the known aging phenomena, but also the aging factors in the future such as repetitive transients generated by power electronics and heat variations caused by power demands at specific times during the day.
I worked at the GIS factory as part of the team that supervises the functionality of the plant in order to allow a smooth production process of the various components
