I'm managing a herd of 650 animals reaching the productivity goals and looking after the well being of the animals paying attention for they health and individual production. I'm in charge of the irrigation making sure the field gets the water needed to keep the growth rate. I oversees the general maintenance of the farm, vehicles and heavy machinery running a weekly maintenance check.
I’m working in a 260ha farm for three seasons, milking 980 cows through a 38 side herringbone shed, Irrigation System 2 Centre Pivot, 6 Hard hoses and 40 K-Lines, Effluent System with irrigator in the paddock. Maintenance of cowshed, Mastitis control, penicillin treatment application, healing of lame cows, selecting animals on heat and very careful with the new born calves. manages the effluent, ponding control effluent, building and fixing wire fences, I’m able to ride Bikes, Quad bikes, and drive Tractors, UTEs, Feeding the cows with PK, Silage Wagon, and feeder straw.
I work a full season on 800 cow dairy farm milking through a 50 bale rotary, Irrigation System 1 Centre Pivot, and 3 Rotorainers, Effluent System with irrigator in the paddock. Maintenace of cowshed, Mastitis control by stripping daily, penicillin treatment application, Healing of lame cows, manages the effluent, ponding control effluent, building and fixing wire fences, Maintenance of the platform, Bikes, Quadbikes, Tractor, Fedding the cows with PKE, Silage Wagon.
