I am a proactive, fast-learning professional currently transitioning into full-stack web development after several years working in hospitality, operations and safety-focused environments. Through the Mission Ready HQ Level 5 Tech Career Accelerator, I am building real-world projects using JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express and MongoDB, working in agile teams and delivering features end-to-end. One of my key projects has been an auction-style web application for a Turners car insurance brief, where I contributed to React components, REST APIs and MongoDB integration, as well as supporting Docker and a CLI tool to seed the database. Before moving into tech, I worked as a chef and in industrial/port operations. These roles taught me how to stay calm under pressure, follow safety procedures, communicate clearly in busy environments and be someone the team can rely on. I now bring that same work ethic, discipline and customer-focused mindset into my work in technology. I enjoy solving problems, learning new tools quickly and collaborating with others to build practical solutions. I am interested in junior or entry-level opportunities in software development or IT where I can continue to develop my skills and contribute to real products.
