I had the honor of co-founding Itaú Digital Assets, the blockchain division of the largest bank in Latin America. What began as a team of three — myself and two fellow engineering leaders — grew into a strategic initiative with multiple specialized teams. Our initial focus was building and leading an institutional custody team. We developed a Hot Wallet solution using secure enclaves and best practices for key management, followed by a Cold Wallet solution leveraging HSMs and robust security protocols to mitigate custody risks. We then established a Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) team responsible for managing blockchain communication, transaction processing, wallet events, and data indexing. When the Central Bank launched the pilot for its CBDC, Drex (Digital Real), I was invited to contribute from the architectural phase using Hyperledger Besu. I developed the initial bootnode key generation scripts, had the honor of deploying the first node for a financial institution, and actively participated in testing and providing feedback on privacy solutions such as Starlight, RAYLS, Nova, Anonymous Zether, among others. Finally, we created two high-performance teams to deliver a serverless, high-throughput crypto trading solution, integrated into both the Itaú SuperApp and Íon, enabling seamless crypto sales. Throughout this journey, I actively contributed to recruiting and mentoring engineers, supporting their career growth and helping shape a high-performing engineering culture. Now I have the honor to contribute with Inter Digital Assets emerging tech, happy to continhe evolving and developing new use cases to this market.

I am the Tech Lead at Drex pilot (Real Digital) and co-founder of the Itau Digital Assets. I led the team building the Institutional Crypto Custody, the Blockchain as a Service Platform and the Crypto Distribution Solution, and we delivered Bitcoin and Ether sale on Itaú Investment App Íon. Form ERC patterns to Bitcoin Bips, Enclaves and HSMs, Solidity and a lot of Golang and NodeJS programming. And now leading the CBDC - Drex (real digital) pilot at Itaú.

Leading the development and maintenance of a critical product. I had worked on the start of the AWS modernization of the product. Developing microservices in a event driven architecture. Lead the team in the development process, code review and CI/CD strategies. Agile practices to conduct the releases. Had a pleasure to deliver a AWS bootcamp to educate the Investments Services Community in infrastructure as a Code to deliver AWS technologies. Worked with Serverless Infrastructure with Python as well with SaaS (containers ECS) with Java. Java (Spring / Webflux), Websockets, and Observabilty well applieds. We had a stack with Splunk, AppDynamics and Serverless on AWS Cloudwatch + AWS X Ray Worked on the tracing and tooling of the applications reducing the response time SLAs of the team in production cases.
