Head of Commercial Controlling at Odido | Commercial Finance, Pricing & Corporate Finance

Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands

About

I work at the intersection of commerce and finance, on the decisions that move enterprise value: pricing, margin, investment cases and corporate finance. Most of my career has been in telecom, currently as Head of Commercial Controlling at Odido, where I am the finance counterpart to the commercial organisation across B2C and B2B. Day to day this means owning the commercial economics behind pricing and partnership decisions, building the investment cases for new growth propositions, and connecting commercial choices to their effect on revenue, margin and the longer-term financial plan. I was closely involved in the sale of T-Mobile Netherlands to APAX and Warburg Pincus, working on the business plan and the commercial and financial due diligence. Alongside that I have worked on post-merger integration, cost and finance transformation, and the relocation of finance processes abroad. I also spend time on how AI and automation can make finance work better: building reusable tooling for planning, reporting and modelling to raise both the speed and the quality of what the function produces. I am more interested in what works in practice than in the hype around it. I look at a business from the customer through to the shareholder, and I am most useful where finance helps drive growth rather than only report on it.
