I’m a Maritime Officer with over 10 years of offshore experience in pipelay, subsea construction, and deep-sea mining operations. I've worked extensively on DP3 vessels, managing day-to-day operations, leading teams, and ensuring full compliance with ISM, ISPS, and MARPOL standards. My background combines technical know-how with strong leadership, safety awareness, and an ability to keep things running smoothly in high-pressure environments. I have a strong interest in the shore-based side of marine operations — from surveying and consultancy to fleet and port management. Based in Tarragona, Spain, I bring a multilingual advantage (English, Dutch, Spanish) and a flexible mindset. I worked on Deep Sea mining vessel Hidden Gem for the preparation and execution of the first mining project in the Clarion Clipperton zone in the North Pacific. I am currently working on pipelay vessel Solitaire executing various pipelay projects worldwide. As a first officer I lead the navigational and dynamic positioning operations during mining, pipelay, construction, transit and infield relocations. I Ensure ship stability, marine complacency and oversee LSA/FFE equipment maintenance. When needed I stand in as Chief officer.
I have worked on pipelay vessel Lorelay executing various pipelay project worldwide. As Second officer I was responsible for navigational and dynamic positioning operations during, pipelay, construction, transit and infield relocations. I was responsible for the maintenance of LSA/FFE equipment and maintaining administration to comply with industry standards.
This was a training position to get the required operating hours and attending necessary courses to become a second officer/DPO.
I worked for Abis shipping as a second officer. During this time I gathered experience as a navigational officer. I oversaw maintenance and administration of LSA/FFE equipment.
