Site Visits and overseeing on behalf of the University the student teachers on my watch to insure their continuous improvement toward graduation and a career in the field of education.
My roles include from various such as being an external evaluator on various grants including US Department grants, Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and Foundational Grants. I also consult on writing grants as well as consulting on professional and staff development surround curriculum and instruction.
My responsibilities include working in a project based, paced based elementary STEM Charter. We use all kinds of hands on learning from the youngest learners to those preparing for middle school. WE have school gardens assisted by Master Gardeners, Hydroponics and a school forest literally in the backyard. The staff is doing amazing things at this school and in this district. At UW La Crosse I am working with young people guiding their final experiences in the field before taking that big step into the big teaching world where such things as Educator Effectiveness, Common Core Standards, Smarter Balance Assessment as well as RtI, PBIS as well as everything else young teachers have coming on.
In this position you oversee all teaching and learning, staff development, the school forest, the summer academy efforts at CESA #4. Standards alignment as well as researching with staff about those cutting edge programs that improve student learning.
