Programming, producing and promoting events for clients including Henley Literary Festival, Picturehouse Cinemas, Henley Santa's Grotto, Dance Reading, Spice Merchant Restaurants, Twlight Trail, Women in Journalism, Henley Living Advent Calendar and the Kenton Theatre.
Managing communications (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, marketing emails and press) for one of the UK's longest-running literary festivals. Increased following and engagement in 2020, with ticket sales the highest in its 68-year history and attendance up by 10% on the previous year, followed by larges audience yet for first online festival in 2021, with media coverage including BBC London, the Daily Mail, Metro and The Times.
Part-time role managing communications for leading fringe festival. My role includes writing press releases, marketing emails and website copy as well as liasing with journalists, bloggers and photographers to promote the festival. Ticket sales rose by 60% in 2019 as compared to the previous year, for 100 events including art installations, cabaret, comedy, family shows, music, talks and walks. For 2020 the Fringe went digital and media coverage included Metro, The Stage & Time Out New York,
I was responsible for programming and communications at the UK's fourth-oldest theatre. Ticket sales and visitor numbers rose to the highest levels in the venue's 213-year history on the back of a varied line-up of comedy, drama, family shows, music and talks with the best in local and new talent alongside national names including Dara O'Briain, PP Arnold, Hayley Mills, Shappi Khorsandi, Chris Barber, Maureen Lipman and Opera Prelude. Media coverage increased and social media followings rose by over 30%.
Programmed over 100 talks, Q&As and performances each year at leading week-long literary festival as well as managing communications. Attendance rose by over 70% during my time there, with speakers including Roddy Doyle, Doreen Lawrence, Graham Nash, Candace Bushnell, John Sentamu, Judith Kerr and Nick Clegg. I also managed press, communications and social media. Media coverage included front-page stories in The Times, Telegraph and Daily Mail, as well being featured in The Guardian, The Sun, The Mail on Sunday, Good Housekeeping, Grazia, Radio 2, Radio 4 and 6 Music. Twitter following grew more than tenfold and the email database more than doubled.
