Involved in the testing of plastic parts in order to meet the requirements of manufacturing specifications set forth by our customers. This included testing of parts by Salt Spray, Humidity Chamber, Hi temp ovens and FTIR analysis. Paints were checked by Viscometer readings and resins were checked for content and melt flow. Chemical resistance tests and PPAP testing were also completed on test parts.
Responsible for the Molding and Decorating Departments with regards to TS 16949 audit readiness. Duties included updating FMEA's, Control Plans and auditing the areas for adherence to procedures. Also responsible for the UQA team on night shift, auditing was involved with completed end items, Service parts and roving process inspections.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our in plant vacuum metalization processes and spray and flow coating operations. Cost saving objectives were $100K/year.
