My advanced educational degree and background in journalism and business has allowed me to be able to provide my employers and clients Ten years of project management in operations and construction developing new market strategies in both the domestic United States and Canada. My projects and innovations have ranged from simple design implementation to $100 Million dollar building and technology changes enhancing customer experience and increasing sales. I am relationship driven through collaboration of internal cross functional teams and outside vendors developing professional and effective relationships in order to meet budget, schedule, and conceptual requirements. A professional background in both writing and radio broadcasting has given me experience and confidence in delivering communication and messages to diverse audiences effectively. One of my specialties include media and history digitization. The ability to capture and share our histories has never been easier, and has never been more discarded. I am able to crate creative and dynamic ways to capture and share history (organizations, families, individuals) through digital technology. My own non profit TCMediaNow presently manages a library of over 5,000 reels of video tape and film capturing otherwise forgotten history of the Twin Cities through news, commercials, interviews, and other footage often discarded.
Volunteer commissioner for the City of Maplewood's Community Design Review Board The Community Design Review Board (CDRB) reviews building design, site plans, and landscaping for proposed multifamily, commercial, and industrial development in Maplewood. The CDRB's goal is to approve attractive developments in architectural design, the use of proper landscape materials and a functional and attractive layout.
Manage Store Innovation projects that range from simple design implementations to company wide technology enhancements and full store remodels. Responsible for budgets up to $100M Manage build construction and leases for (30) offsite storage warehouses in key markets (New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle). Manage the lease initiation and setup, decommission and turnover. Specialties include: Project sourcing and vendor program management, scope development, financial budgeting and forecasting, leading cross-functional teams, and execution. On boarding new contractors and vendors across the country. Extensive experience working with Real Estate companies, government agencies and property management companies to execute projects on time and within budget.
Developed technology and process integration for Reverse Logistics and Resource Recovery for Target Canada Developed recycling and sustainability programs for both the United States and Canadian markets. Designed and implemented first company wide recycling programs for metal and fixtures. Managed company wide end of life assets, including re-use and liquidation. Oversaw and managed several store, retail, and distribution closings. Managed cross functional team for Store Operations on Target's first expansion outside of the domestic 48 states, Alaska and Hawaii. Designed and developed unique process and training for offshore markets. Partnered with Target Technology Services to create technial solutions for store logistics teams.
