I founded and lead CGG's Data Hub which transforms and enriches large volumes of unstructured data into curated databases and beautiful dashboards to answer subsurface questions. We focus on building technology to automate data classification and curation including novel machine learning and data warehousing systems, driven by subsurface experts and a unique subsurface taxonomy. I'm interested in data architecture, the culture surrounding digital transformation, and growing and leading highly effective teams.
Initiated a major digital transformation program focussed on large volumes of data in legacy formats. Gained support and sponsorship from executive team and regularly reported progress. Designed and built a data architecture connecting multiple live data systems into a warehouse optimised for fast access, along with new management and edge applications. Grew the team 10x to support a new digitalisation services business.
Transitioned the web and database development teams from a support function to a key component of the product and business strategy. Initiated a number of new web products and developed a database architecture to underpin the business.
Managing a group of geological projects providing reservoir analogues to global oil and gas companies. Particular interest in clastic depositional environments, sediment body geometries and reservoir architecture.
