I am the Managing Director of The Padel School - one of the largest education platforms within the game of padel. Formerly a professional tennis player - where my achievements include reaching top 400 in the ATP rankings and winning junior Wimbledon - I have been immersed in the world of racket sports from a young age. This experience allowed me to develop my discipline, commitment, and teamwork skills, and I apply this to whatever I do. After retiring from tennis, I achieved a Bachelor and Master’s degree in economics and business at the University of Amsterdam whilst working as a Head Coach at Park Tennis Club. Following this, I transitioned to the world of work holding various business development roles within a wide range of industries which included tech, retail and healthcare. During these years I was lucky enough to work at start-ups and multinational companies, alongside founders and entrepreneurs. In these working years, I advanced my work-specific hard skills around operations, project management, strategy and stakeholder communications. More importantly, I learnt as much as I could about how businesses are built from the ground up. After discovering the game of padel, I decided to combine my passion for racket sports and my business skills to help grow the sport through one of the leading player and coach training platforms: The Padel School. During this process I have also spent my time travelling to Spain to the top academies there working with world-renowned coaches and playing with Top 100 padel players. I’m currently ranked top 500 in the world for padel and play for the Men’s GB Team. The Padel School’s mission is to grow the sport of padel worldwide by bringing players and coaches the tools they need to unlock their potential. We have a strong focus on growing community, both online and on-court globally, as we envision padel becoming a sporting phenomenon which is accessible to all.
