I’m a motivated Quality Auditor backed with working experiences in quality management (QM) and supplier quality assurance (SQA) on the supplier’s as well as the customer’s side. During my current job I conduct about 25 supplier-audits on a yearly basis at numerous companies all over Europe. I can say I’ve learned the do’s and don’ts in the supplier-customer relationship. I’ve developed a strong sense for continuous improvement, using my critical risk-based thinking and keen eye for detail to identify and eliminate risks. I’m a strongly organized, independent and hard-working employee, who knows how to play his part in a team. I’m a lifelong learner, with particular interests in quality assurance (APQP) and continuous improvement (Lean Six Sigma). I have aspirations to grow into a managerial function or work as a consultant on different projects. I’m fluent in Dutch, French and English and can communicate on a basic level in Mandarin Chinese.
I'm leading a team of 6 Quality Inspectors/Auditors, our job is to assure the quality of the railway products bought by Infrabel by means of product inspections, supplier process audits and qualification audits. We also coordinate product complaints in order to continuously improve our and our suppliers' systems.
As a Quality Assurance Inspector I'm responsible for assuring that the products bought by Infrabel (through public tenders) are conform the applicable technical provisions and European standards. This involves inspection of the material as well as conducting quality audits at the supplier's production site in order to identify possible risks. I also participate in qualification audits to qualify new suppliers. In case of field complaints I take charge of the investigation and follow up on the resolution of the problem (through 8D methodology). My product scope ranges over several areas of the railway infrastructure: Signalling (ETCS, signals, train detection...) Catenary (contact wire, mounts, terminals...) Energy Distribution & Telecom (isolated energy, signalling and optical fiber cables) Some of my biggest suppliers are Alstom, Siemens, Nexans, Prysmian, Lamifil, etc...
This job/project of 6 months was assigned to me through the outsourcings-company Logi-Technic. CNH required assistance in organizing the assembly department for the upcoming new Chopper model. My job was focused around processing engineering changes (revisions of technical drawings, bill of materials) into assembly instructions/time tables. I had close contact with engineering and the mechanics on the floor. I've also participated in improving the assembly process by implementing LEAN methods such as Kanban, 2Bin, Kaizen and 5S.
