Served as the primary spokesman and media strategist for the statewide campaign, Protect our Care Missouri. Developed and executed communications strategies that helped make health care the defining issue of the 2018 election – generating more than 100 earned media hits in seven markets throughout Missouri. Coordinated with coalition partners, national surrogates and local story tellers to hold 15 media events in five months. Conducted rapid response, seizing every opportunity to elevate the issue of health care and to shape the media narrative.
Crafted more than 15 media responses per week to promote department’s efforts to remediate environmental issues and other activities. Planned and hosted a trip for 10 reporters to experience Echo Bluff State Park to shape coverage ahead of its grand opening.
Served as the spokesperson for the department. Planned two Missouri Workers’ Memorial Ceremonies, each honoring more than 40 families in attendance. Led communications team to produce more than 50 videos to promote department activities and programs.
