Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Armed with a MacBook and a brain with no off button - I'm a compulsive thinker, idea generator, and asset creator. I'm lucky to have found a way to combine my overactive brain with my extensive craft capabilities. For 8 years I’ve had the pleasure of making ads for some true Aussie icons, including Holden and Bunnings. From this experience, I've developed a sick set of skills across the Adobe suite, as well as a deep understanding of the ever-changing world of social media and AI. I took the challenge of AWARD school later in my career compared to most, but maybe that paid off as I was pleased to place 2nd in Victoria. When I'm not working, I'm busy being a dad to my 2 young sons. They give me the excuse to indulge in my hobbies - Cooking, gaming and playing baseball on the weekends.
This Internship was done during my final year at uni, making it one of the most important and valuable experiences of my career so far. For the 2 days a week I was here I focused on attention to detail, refining my skills and working with clients to get myself ready for my full time career. This Internship followed over into a full time position where I continued to develop myself as a professional designer.
My internship at Publicis helped me further develop my skills in the adobe suite and client liaison. I participated in a three month, 3 days a week internship, mainly working alongside the designers, sitting in on meetings and taking on jobs of my own.
I was lucky enough to get extremely valuable work experience working as a junior graphic designer for three months, 2 days a week in my first year of university. In my day to day work now, I notice I am using skills I learnt and developed with Havas.
