My Mother taught me how to cook from scratch as a kid. My Career took me to leadership positions in both Front and Back of the House. I opened my first Restaurant, Small Plates-Detroit(one of the first Small Plate restaurants in the country)in 2002. SPD helped to bring back part of Downtown Detroit and won Best of the Year in Bon Appetit Magazine one of the Best New Restaurants in the U.S in Wine Enthusiast Magazine and the Ny Times Travel Section. In 2021, after working on my Detroit Pizza recipe for 5 years, I opened Detroit Pizza Joint(DPJ) in Cape Coral, Fl. The restaurant was destroyed by Hurricane Ian in 2022. Post Hurricane, my focus has been helping the people in need throughout SWFL. I am currently seeking Strategic Partners to grow the DPJ concept in Naples and other cities in Florida plus the U.S. My Career highlights include, Catering for the NFL-Super Bowl, MLB-Allstar Game, Backstages/Private Parties for Green Day, Van Halen, Kid Rock, Tori Amos, Alanis Morisette, and many others. My Corporate Catering Clients included, Ford, GM, Yahoo, Nike, LiveNation and the City of Detroit/Mayors Office. I consulted for Compass Group/Select Service Partners developing Food Concepts/Menus for International Airport.
