I am a Principal Engineer and PhD Candidate at the UNSW Water Research Laboratory (WRL). I have over 10 years of industry experience, I am a chartered Environmental Engineer with Engineer's Australia (CPEng), and I am on the National Engineering Register (NER). My PhD topic is focused on understanding the future of intermittent estuaries. My research overlaps with my industry role where I am currently working on the restoration of estuarine ecosystems and coastal adaptation. I have extensive experienced in collecting field data for use in river, estuary and wetland numerical modelling/assessment projects. I am experienced in assessing water quality in ground and surface water. I have also developed expertise in using remote sensing techniques to improve coastal resilience. Using my extensive skillset, I am helping to lead the environmental engineering field by developing strategies to improve estuaries in a global context. As an engineer, I am passionate about the issues society faces living in environments surrounded by water. I aim to use my engineering skills to solve practical real-world problems and ensure the world we live in remains healthy and full of life for generations to come.
