l am a 26 year old designer currently working as a consultant and freelancer for 3 clients to help them achieve trackable results with design intervention. Over the past 3 years I have been promoted 3 times to Mid-Weight designer at my previous branding agency where I worked directly with clients to hit targets. Starting my working life as part of the Royal Ballet School I moved my creative skills over to industrial design at university where I found success being nominated for the Beyond Plastic and Young Furniture Makers awards. After university, I transferred my understanding of product development into digital products, working with data to create designs that succeed for my clients. I am self-sufficient in a team of designers, as well as being able work on projects alone from beginning to results. My understanding of the psychology of the user through user research and design thinking have allowed me to make real impacts in projects whether they were my own or as part of a team. I am currently working in an on going capacity to support creation and role out of internal content, as well as working along side the team in client delivery. These roles include designing the UX/UI for their new website, campaign ads and social media templates for the marketing team. As well as presentations and other branded assets.
I am currently a contractor for Excpetional working with their digital strategists and account managers to roll out advertising campaigns for their B2B clients.
BUILA is a membership-led organisation, committed to supporting our 145 UK University members in their international student recruitment and partnership activities. Their work is driven by the needs of their members, identified through feedback and consultation, and delivered by their team and the Executive Committee, made up of elected senior university staff from 14 universities. I have been working with BUILA in a design capacity for 2 years. During this time I have supported the role out of documents and assets that are used in Government and the 145 universities to advise both the Home office and the universities on current legislation and direction on international students.
