As a Senior Scientist at Serac Biosciences, I apply my PhD in immunology/ cell biology and my expertise in gene editing to identify new targets for targeted protein degradation . I have over 10 years of experience in molecular biology, cell-based assays, and cancer research, working as a Scientist and a Postdoc in leading academic and biotech institutions. I am passionate about translating cutting-edge science into innovative treatments that can improve the lives of patients. I have contributed to multiple publications, and collaborations in the field of gene editing and immunology. I am a team player, a problem solver, and a lifelong learner, always eager to explore new challenges and opportunities. I value diversity, creativity, and excellence in my work, and I strive to make a positive impact in the world through science.
• Managed the cell biology within the multidisciplinary biology team • Established assays focusing cellular immunology and cancer biology • Conducted pharmacological studies with primary immune cells and cancer cell lines
• Established CRISPR-mediated editing and cellular immunology workstreams • Established two arrayed screens: oncogene overexpression and CRISPR-mediated gain-of-function with the focus on metabolism and MR1 ligand formation • Initiated and supervised the small compound screening platform
• CRISPR-mediated precise gene editing of primary human naïve T cells • Phenotyping by transcriptomics and molecular biology approaches
• Revealed a dynamic program that is associated with primary human T cell preparedness based on quantitative systems-level proteomics • Organization, processing and analysis of patient samples with HBV/HCV-induced hepatocellular carcinoma
