I newly employed at Wipro as a Test Engineer. I'm looking forward to this new stage in my life. My previous position was as the lead for a software test team. Previous to that, I was a software test engineer running automation tests, triaging machine issues, investigating test failures, and submitting bugs to the developers. I have experience working with storage and clusters; installation, setup, and configuration of servers; building 1, 2, 3, and 4 node clusters, cluster in a box systems; and performing manual and automated testing. • Managed a dual shore test team of 23 employees before and during our project contract change of ownership. • Worked with client managers and new management team leads to facilitate a successful hand off of the project. • Ensured required testing was performed, meeting customer expectations during the transition. • Verified training documentation was created or updated and provided to the new leads on schedule. • Assigned and monitored training time between the new and existing team members to ensure the requested timeline of progress was met.
• Managed, scheduled, monitored, and triaged daily automation testing for High Availability Storage File Server, and Cluster Teams using WTT, TREX, and the team's proprietary scheduling tool. • Wrote test bugs in Team Foundation Server (TFS) Database. • Provided bug email follow up to test owners and developers reducing the number of open bugs. • Initialized and provided follow up correspondence with customer teams and managers, and test team regarding help, needs, or concerns. • Investigated hardware, virtual machine (VM), storage, system, configuration, and test issues using Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT), Terminal Services (TS), remote KVM (keyboard, video, mouse), and KD debugging before involving the lab support team. • Assisted team lead with training, coaching and advising offshore and onshore team members.
• Scheduled, updated, triaged, and managed daily test runs using WTT, TREX, and the team's proprietary scheduling tool. • Wrote, assigned, and verified fixes of test and software bugs in Visual Studio Online (VSO) and Team Foundation Server (TFS) Databases. • Reviewed open bug reports and sent follow-up email to the owners facilitating a reduction in active bugs. • Reviewed scheduled test jobs and runs with test teams to ensure unnecessary and duplicate testing was eliminated. • Trained client teams with usage of new test scheduling tool. • Used Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT), Terminal Services (TS), remote KVM (keyboard, video, mouse), and debugging tools to investigate hardware, virtual machine (VM), system, storage, and test issues.
