In this role I had 6 direct reports across Melbourne and Singapore. I held accountability for Global compensation frameworks and Regional (Australia, Asia & Europe) Benefits frameworks for the Global Corporate Functions across Australia, Asia & Europe. I was also responsible for the annual reward review cycle globally, including standardising global timelines and the Reward module of SuccessFactors which supports the execution.
During the restructure of BHP Billiton's global Reward team I was asked to step into the Senior Manager Pensions & Benefits role, with accountability of the former ‘Group’ Pensions & Benefits team (direct reports in Melbourne and Houston). Main accountabilities for this role were: o Execution of Phase I of the US Post Retiree Medical Project and preparation for Phase II go-live o Delivery of execution strategy of the Australian Benefits Modernisation project o Oversight of global pensions & benefits governance and vendors o Ongoing management of so-called ‘group-owned’ benefit plans, including the offshore International Retirement Plan, Group Management Committee pensions & benefits arrangements and legacy Executive Defined Benefit Plans o Reward Organisational Design and Transformation Project Lead This role was removed from the BHP Billiton Reward structure following restructure
In August 2014 I was asked to act in the Senior Manager role for the Group Reward Benefits team o Accountability for the Global Pensions & Benefits team and the Group Global Mobility team o Oversaw separation and set up planning for pensions and benefits and global mobility in relation to the de-merger of certain BHP Billiton assets to South32 (including setting direction and developing project management methodology and reporting within the teams)
