In an increasingly networked world, resilience has become imperative for communities, societies and organizations. My work aims at improving disaster resilience by combining insights from the field with research in the following domains: Scenario-based decision support to manage complexity and uncertainty, Risk management and vulnerability analysis to understand weaknesses and hotspots, Near real-time decision support and analyses, Supply chain risk management to design agile and flexible supply networks, Information and communication technologies and systems, Critical Infrastructures and Smart Cities.
