About

Embarking on my career, I immersed myself in the vibrant realms of urban lifestyle, including fashion, music, graphic design, and skateboarding. A transformative moment occurred in my early 20s when I secured a pivotal role at Union Five, the trendsetting skate/street/fashion store in Helsinki. This experience not only connected me with the dynamic skateboarding community but also fostered invaluable relationships within downtown Helsinki and internationally. Diversifying my career across industries like fashion, music, arts, media, publishing, producing, events, and the restaurant world, I've successfully established multiple companies and associations. However, the journey hasn't been without its share of challenges. In 2012, I weathered a challenging bankruptcy, and in 2019, faced a devastating fire that threatened a historically marked building. While many might have considered these setbacks insurmountable, I saw them as opportunities to showcase resilience. Overcoming these hurdles required navigating lengthy insurance processes, rebuilding, and ultimately restoring both the historic building and my business. This experience not only tested my mettle but also reinforced my belief that challenges are catalysts for growth. My career reflects a spectrum of experiences, from bureaucratic intricacies to creative dynamics. I embrace challenges as catalysts for growth, firmly believing that every obstacle is an opportunity waiting to be unveiled. Notably, I've thrived in moments where others might have faltered, demonstrating an unwavering determination to overcome adversities. This resilience has become a defining aspect of my professional journey. The highlights of my career extend beyond accomplishments to the profound joy of connecting with diverse individuals and immersing myself in various cultures. This global perspective enriches my understanding of the world, both locally and internationally. Key Specialties: Thinking outside the box Strong social skills Branding and identity Conceptual creativity Bridging people and skills Social media and marketing proficiency Team player with effective articulation Ambition and international outlook Opportunism and dynamic energy

12. maaliskuuta – 16. huhtikuuta 2025, Kristoffer Ala-Ketola & Aj Fusco, yhteisnäyttely. 23. huhtikuuta – 28. toukokuuta 2025, Haliz Yosef. Tavoitteena on luoda tila, jossa eri taiteenlajit kohtaavat. Gallerian perustajat korostavat taiteen merkitystä erityisesti vaikeina aikoina. Hallituksen kurjistamispolitiikan alla taiteen esiin nostaminen on tärkeämpää kuin koskaan. Tervetuloa kokemaan nykytaiteen parhaimmistoa! Galleriaia Pengerkatu 22, 00500 Helsinki

  • Art Gallery Owner at Galleria Saltbodan
    May 2023 - Present · 3 yrs 3 mos

After 4 years of Galleria Saltbodan being closed, due to the fire in the main building and the need for storage room for all the maritime historical items, all until the main building is finally restored I have now re-opened and expanded Galleria Saltbodan for the summer 2023. This was a perfect time to get the gallery back on track as the city of Lovisa also held the housing fair during the summer 2023. This generated a lot of attendance and interest in the gallery and was a good re-launch for the project. During the summer I had the luck to host exhibitions by: Random Rules by Valtteri Kivelä (Solo) Nadiiri by Timo Aho & Timo Vaittinen (Joint) Ancient Futures by Mark Maher & Veera Vartiainen (Joint) This was the first year after a 4 year hiatus, a great start with stellar artists and their works on display. I am currently curating exhibitions for the summer 2024 and also building the network and a solid base for Galleria Saltbodan.

Me and my associate, chef Sebastian Carlsson, operated a restaurant business in the oldest building in Loviisa that is called Degerby Gille. The building has a lot of historical value and is built back in 1695. It also has been a tavern through out the centuries and is one of the oldest taverns to run continuously in Finland. It has been an interesting road to get to know all the history behind Lovisas development, where the small towns whole infrastructure basically started from this building. It has hosted a lot of influential people, such as the king of Sweden, prime ministers such as Risto Ryti, Jean Sibelius and many more.
