Tim supports General Cable´s International Trade Compliance program globally. Specifically, he leads the European Regional Export Management & Compliance Program. In this role, he provides international trade support to enable the General Cable businesses to effectively manage their own trade programs as part of their daily activities. He partners with all functions, assisting with the implementation of both export and import requirements. As a member of the Corporate Compliance team, Tim will also work with the Global Compliance Team on ongoing compliance initiatives and risk areas beyond International Trade.
GE evolved toward a "shared services" model. The hub for "Greater Europe" was located in Budapest, under Global Operations- Customs. Continuing to drive compliance accross all businesses, I was also commended to lead and implement projects aligned with the global strategy as per the GE Global Enterprise Standard, dealing amongst others, with customs agents. Promote the simplification and leverage standardization of customs processes to reduce cost, and to improve quality and speed Prior to the "shared services" concept being launched, our European Centre Of Excellence was aligned with other like centres across the globe providing in-house expertise and practical support to each of the GE Businesses, driving compliance with International Trade and Customs regulatory requirements.
In direct collaboration with management, the main responsibilities included, aligning all processes in Europe with the global and regional strategies and policies of Delphi.
