My research programme has its roots in Polymer Reaction Engineering: the application of fundamental Chemical Engineering tools to understand, quantify and control polymerisation reactions. Knowledge is used to improve existing processes, and to design new processes and materials that respond the to the requirements of society as a whole and to our industrial partners. The major focus of my work is in the areas of polyolefins and specialised latex production. Specialties: Research and development
Our new CP2M laboratory was created by the merger of the Chemistry, Catalysis, Polymers and Processes lab on the one hand, and the Laboratory for the Engineering of Catalytic Processes on the other. The two founding labs shared the vision that it is necessary to integrate the concepts of both CHEMISTRY and CHEMICAL ENGINEERING (Procédés dans le texte orginal!). The two original partners reinforce these two important disciplines, allowing us to offer a broader range of expertise to our future academic and commercial partners.

Run courses on different aspects of polymer reaction engineering, and, in collaboration with Professor JBP Soares of the University of Waterloo, we run public and in-house courses on polyolefin process engineering.
