About

First and foremost, I thoroughly enjoy manufacturing operations and have ever since I remember. I also love history. For me, it wasn't the Model T, but Henry Ford's manufacturing process to behold. The concept of organizaing materials and human beings into an efficient, organized fashion to produce a product profitably is very attractive to me. Improving upon that is even more so. As such, I've made it my mission to become what I consider to be a "Manufacturing Professional". That is, I have significant experience with nearly all facets of manufacturing operations: from engineering, supervision, inventory management, production control, procurement, and cost-accounting. That has positioned me to greatly impact an organization's growth and profitablity by controlling costs, improving productivity, maintaining safety, and developing employees. I employ LEAN methodologies and do not want to complicate the manufacturing process. I have found the most impactful process changes have been amassed by involving employees and spending very little capital. A perfect example would be an assembly process I inherited that required (12) employees to build (4) machines and with a kaizen processes ended up with (4) employees building (12) machines. All of that improvement with a 60% reduction in floor space required and zero capital. I'm most familiar with subject matters involving electro-mechanical assembly and metal fabrication processes. However, I have garnered my experiences from multiple employers and industries. In hindsight, that has been most impactful as I've learned that there isn't necessarily a one-size fits all to manufacturing. I believe my body of work and varied experiences have provided me clarity for managing an organization's manufacturing operations by specifically building a strong workforce and eliminating wasteful operations. Those are my strengths and that is what I do. In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors and investing time in my small family farm. I find that the fresh air and working with my hands relieves daily stress and keeps me grounded. I'm an advocate of Servant Leadership. I like to mentor others and provide career support that I found lacking early in my own career. I'll be happy to assist anyone on furthering their knowledge and understanding for building a workforce and solving problems in an industrial environment. Or, if you would just like to have more details regarding my experiences, don't hesitate to reach out to me.
