Transitioning to Organizational Development | Leveraging Leadership & Psychological Insight for Organizational Effectiveness | PhD Candidate in Organizational Psychology - Spring 2027

About

I have elected to "retire" from the last 30+ years of "projects & manufacturing" to concentrate on completing my PHD in Organizational Development in the next 18 months. Open to opportunities of all kinds as they may present themselves. As General Manager, I leveraged my expertise in Lean and Kaizen methodologies, organizational development, and human resources to cultivate a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The company's most valuable asset is its people; therefore, team building based on organizational citizenship, psychological safety, and strong organizational support is crucial for our success. At Venture Global LNG, my leadership over the past year has been instrumental in advancing a USD 20 billion LNG export facility, emphasizing strategic oversight and process optimization. Our team's dedication has not only increased construction efficiency by 15% but also heightened operational readiness, paving the way for a new era in energy. My role as Site Engineering Manager capitalizes on expertise in Lean Methodologies and HSE, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. These competencies, honed through managing a substantial department budget and enhancing operational efficiency at Natgasoline LLC, are now the cornerstone of my mission to drive innovation and sustainability in the energy sector. As Plant Manager at Natgasoline, I was responsible for various functions, including operations, maintenance, engineering, safety, environmental, PSM, procurement, logistics, a $80M department budget, and a capital program of $20M. I reported directly to the CEO and was instrumental in streamlining the operations team to enable a 24/7 focus on shift-by-shift results. This resulted in an improved on-stream factor of 92% for 2022 and a significant revenue increase of $ 120 million. I restructured daily leadership team meetings to focus on mission-critical tasks and address pressing issues. One of my key initiatives was forming a volunteer Safety Committee team designed to drive performance improvements by implementing processes and mutual accountability. This proactive approach resulted in only one recordable injury over 2.8 million hours, despite several significant outages and project builds. I also implemented a stage gate Front End Loading (FEL) process to evaluate project efficacy at each engineering stage.
