Tim Cullinane has a proven track record as a Chief Executive across many sectors of New Zealand business. This includes more than 20 years of experience as Chief Executive in the tough, intensely competitive environments of information technology and telecommunications. Prior to purchasing NZMA in 2002, Tim was the Chief Executive of CLEAR Communications. During his time at CLEAR he led a total refocusing of the business, from a residential-oriented discount toll operator, to a leading provider of internet-based solutions to the business market. Other recent achievements include his role as Chief Executive from corporatisation to privatisation of the government-owned Forestry Corporation. The company’s value trebled from $800 million to $2.4 billion during the six years Tim was there.
Tim is the Chairman of NZMA, and has owned the business since 2002. NZMA is New Zealand's top ranked vocational training provider, with a focus on offering real skills for today's professions in the areas of hospitality, business, cookery, construction, contact centre, and retail.
